Spencer: I had no idea that Pride was more than just a parade. Ashley: Spencer Carlin discovers there is a gay and lesbian community in Los Angeles. Spencer: I mean they're having an empowerment zone of over a hundred workshops. Ashley: Oh, empowerment workshops. Now I'm turned on. Spencer: But hey, we have to prioritize because you only have an hour. Ashley: Hey, you're the one that won't let me blow off my music launch. Spencer: Well, I'm trying to teach you the art of commitment. Ashley: Yes, I know.
Ashley: Oh sweet, so let's go show 'em our pride! Paula: Show 'em our pride? No that's ok. You go. Ashley: What are you so afraid of? Is it the guys running around with their t-shirts off? Paula: No, that wouldn't bother me. [Paula and Ashley both laugh] No, the truth, Ashley, is that Spencer's just not real happy with her mom these days. Ashley: So come be my mom for the day. God knows that I could use one every now and then.
Arthur: How are things with you and Ash these days? Spencer: They're good. They're, I don't know, I mean she's got this whole new world now, you know? Arthur: It's amazing how quickly things change.
Ashley: Well, it's been great, but I have a press conference that I'm really late for and I'm starting to even embarrass myself. Spencer: Then hurry. Ashley: Will you call me later? Spencer: Yes.
Ashley: [Ashley picks up her phone to see Spencer's name on the screen] There she is. Spencer: I can't believe you got my mom to go to pride. Ashley: I know, I'm amazing. Spencer: You really are. So, um, how was Madison's going away party? Really wish I could have been there. Ashley: It went well. But it would have been a lot more fun if you would have been there. Spencer: Yeah, well I'm still waiting to get into this after-party. Ashley: What does that mean? Spencer: Now it's your turn to open your front door. [Ashley opens her door to find Spencer standing there wearing a trenchcoat and no other clothing. They begin to kiss and then Spencer leads Ashley to the bedroom]
